Interview with book character: Crunch

I would like to introduce you to Crunch. You will get to know Crunch a little better as you read his story in Charmed and Lethal. Crunch is one of my favorite characters because… well, let’s just let you get to know him a little better as we interview him.

1. What is your favorite color? Well… er… I guess I’ll go with red.

2. I was a little surprised to see how tall you are in person. You are really buff, too. How tall are you exactly? *laughs uncomfortably* I’m 6’2”.

3. Do you work out a lot? I mean, we’d all love to have a body like that. Tell us your secret. I guess my secret is that I’m a Were. It gives me good genes. *laughs* I spar a lot with my friends and that keeps me in shape, too. Most of them are pretty strong.

4. Oh, this brings up two questions for me. I’m sure our viewers are wondering what a Were (pronounced like were in Were-wolf) is. A Were is what we call a species who can change from human to animal. For example, I change into a wolf. There are many other species though – hawks, bobcats, rabbits – if there’s an animal, then there’s probably a Were somewhere who can change into it.

5. Great! Now, the second question your answer lead me to was when mentioned your friends. I’m sure our readers are dying to know if there’s a girlfriend in your life, especially after taking a look at your picture. If only they could see you in person. Meow, Ladies! *flirty giggle* Well, yes, um…. Mostly. So, do you or don’t you? Why are you clenching your fists? Well, Renee and I are complicated, but I am not available. I clench my fists when I get frustrated.

6. No need for frustration. Renee, huh? What can you tell us about her? If you read Charmed and Lethal you’ll learn all you want to know and then some. She’s one of the main characters. Can you just tell us something for now since the book isn’t available? Well, she’s feisty. She’s a fighter. A Guardian Warrior.

7. She’s a Guardian Warrior? Wow, that sounds impressive. Do you have a title like that? I’m a Protector.

8. Are you allowed to tell us anything about what this means? No, read the book.

9. Okay, I see you're still clenching your fists. How about we return to you. How about your family? Brothers, sisters? Parents? I have one brother and one sister. Are they older or younger? They’re younger. I’m the oldest in the family. My parents are both dead. They were killed by Guardians. Oh, I’m so sorry. I see why you say your relationship with Renee is complicated. Didn’t you say she’s a Guardian, too? Did she kill your parents? No, I mean, yes. I mean… yes, she’s a guardian. No, she didn’t kill my parents. She wasn’t even a Guardian when they were killed.

10. Are you in college? No, I’m actually helping in a rebellion, but you’ll read all about that in Charmed and Lethal.

Well, this entire conversation has been quite mysterious. You have me very intrigued about reading this book. I think I’ll be first in line when it’s released. I hope you will be.
