You think you know a story, and then you don't.

This is a wonderfully twisted version of the classic story of Cinderella. In this version, Cinderella doesn't only want to go to the ball. Oh, no, no, no, she wants to be queen so she can seek out revenge on her step sisters and step mother. She wants to make all the women of the kingdom envious of her. She wants to be the most beautiful woman and puts all her energy into earning the magic to make her the loveliest of them all.

There is an amazing twist you learn at the end of the story. I was like... wait... wha? But, I can't tell you! Spoilers! Just know that Cinderella is not as sweet and innocent as she is in the classic tale. This one is darker, but fun. It's a quick read, super simple, but very entertaining.

I will admit, at the beginning I was slightly put off by it because I love the Grimm Brothers version and the Disney version and this one is completely different from both of those. Cinderella herself was twisted and darker in this one and that is where I was having trouble. However, once I accepted her as a dark version of Cinderella, I began enjoying the story a lot more. It was also a little slow at the beginning but really picked up about half way through. I recommend this book to others so go and get a copy now by clicking HERE! :)

Anita Valle is the mother of three. She is also and author and artist. Honestly, she absolutely sounds like someone I'd hang out with. She loves BBC movies and Colin Firth (who doesn't think he's hot?), she was homeschooled, and she loves chocolate. See, she and I would totally get along. Rating: I give this book THREE STARS. ***
