Book Review: WonderWorld The Musical

One of the coolest things about reviewing for indie authors is that the authors don't have to try to fit in a box for a publisher to use. They can just write what they want. This is one of those things that doesn't fit in a box. What genre is it? I have no idea. It's a children's picture book.... fantasy? maybe? Gothic fairytale is what is used on Amazon. :) That could work.

The point is that it's indie so it doesn't matter. ;)

This is a story of a boy who is an artist and struggles with real issues, such as bullying and self esteem. When he is stressed with life, he turns to his art work and it comes alive and sings to him. This causes difficulties differentiating between what is real and what is not real. I can't say much else without giving away the ending, but there is a great moral to this book.

I'm going to have to buy a copy for my kids for Christmas! I was given an ebook by the author, but I want the hardback copy now. :D I really like this book. I love that it is so different. Here is the really cool thing.... notice "The Musical" part written after Wonderworld? Well, that's because when the boy's artwork sings, it really sings. You can get copies of the music or watch a video of it read and sung on youtube. I'll actually attach that below (permission from author). I absolutely recommend this book for all children. I'm giving it 4 stars! ****
