Character Interview

I would like to introduce you to Renee. She is one of the main characters in Charmed and Lethal. Here is my interview with her, but the best way to get to know her is to read the book. Of course, since the book isn't published yet, you'll just have to wait. Anticipation is good, right? :)

1. Welcome Renee!

Thank you. I'm excited to be here.

2. So, explain to us how things changed in your life.

Well, I suddenly could kick -- er.... can I cuss? I suddenly had some kick butt fighting skills.

3. Had you never been able to fight before?

Well, I had martial arts training for a few years, but this was beyond my capabilities. I was stronger and faster and my senses were totally intense. It was awesome.

4. Then what happened?

Well, I don't want to give too much away. I found out I am a Warrior. We were given power by Gaia to defeat the Were.

5. The Were?

Yeah, you know like Were-wolves and things, but not just wolves. Were-bears, Were-bunnies, Were-lions.... all sorts of Were. It's just easier to say Were than name all the different types.

6. We've already had an interview with Crunch. He is a Were, right?

Yes, he is.

7. Yet, you two are friends?

Um... well, you're going to have to read the book. I can't tell you everything. Plus, that gets complicated.

8. You and Crunch both avoid that question well.

9. You're still in high school, right?

Yes, I'm a senior.

10. How do you like high school?

It's fun, but totally different than what I'm used to. Trust me, my high school experience is weird. I go to Pendleton Academy where I learn about being a Warrior.

11. Kind of like Harry Potter and Hogwarts?

Oh, I only wish. No, I'm a Warrior, not a Witch, so my classes have a lot to do with fighting. We do get there by train though. Does that count as Hogwart-ish?

12. We'll let it count. So, what is this about a duo?

Every Warrior has a Witch or Warlock duo. Meaning, they're given a partner. My magic duo buddy is Lydia. She is a powerful elemental Witch. When our powers work together, we're pretty awesome.

13. Elemental?

She controls the elements -- mostly. Sometimes her powers are a little strong and it's kind of like the elements control her. But, you'll have to ---

We know, we know. We have to read the book.

Yes.

14. I hear that Warriors tend to have bad attitudes and short tempers. Is this true? We had Crunch on here and witnessed his temper, but you haven't appeared angry at all.

Well, Crunch's temper is a little shorter than average. Warriors can get angry quickly, but we're also taught how to think clearly in intense situations so I think that helps us control our temper as well. I will say, there are some who bring my temper out quicker than others.

15. I have an idea of who you are referring to and I'd love to hear more, but we're out of time. Thank you so much for allowing me to interview you.
