The story is narrated by Susie, the cat and is told from her point of view as she follows Andy. She gets excited when he comes home from school and they begin their adventure. Unfortunately, things get difficult when he makes a bad decision and then a storm hits and the two of them are lost in the woods in the middle of a big storm.
The illustrations in this book are so fun! You can see samples of the art work at the author's website. Also, as a fan of steam punk, I was so excited when I realized this is a children's picture book done in steam punk. It's not really obvious in the text, but in the illustrations it is very obvious. The school bus flies through the air with sails and a friend of Andy's has a steam powered wheel chair. It's really very cool.
I give this book 4 stars. ****
