Young Adult Paranormal Romance - Short Story

Nina loses faith in love and decides to solely focus on her career. However, fate has different plans for Nina and her paranormal romance. Could this ever be reality?

My Thoughts: I saw this and thought, "oooh! Paranormal romance!" Yeah, I'm one of those and love paranormal romance novels. It's a story of Nina, who has given up on men, finding the man of her dreams in her dreams.

Short stories are hard, because you have a lot to do in only a few pages, but this one didn't feel fullfilling to me. Nina fell for her dream guy -- literally. Their conversations told me nothing of the characters. It felt as if they were just there for sex. This means that Nina gave up on men, and then decided they might be okay because Roland was good at sex. Yeah... that's basically the entire point of the story.

Once I got past the verbose writing style, the story line still wasn't too exciting for me. It felt very rushed with too much detail in the wrong spots and not enough in more important areas. The plot wasn't fully flushed and the character development was very flat.

I don't recommend this story, it does have potential could be developed into something amazing. As it is, however, it falls short for me.

About the Author (info from her website https://www.sofiaoharacoaching.com):

From the age of 12 my Life was a roller coaster. My quest to find real love urged me to leave my country of birth; I wanted a fresh start, I wanted to feel loved. But growing up in an environment where love was highly conditional I soon found myself experiencing one heartbreak after another, until I touched rock bottom.

My relationships had been so detrimental that I became physically ill. I was filled with fear, I had no self-esteem and ZERO self-confidence.

In November 2011 I embarked on transformation journey that helped me overcome my heartbreaks, learnt from my failures and shaped my perception and understanding of love.

Don't get me wrong it wasn't easy!

Raising three children as a single mum, working on my healing and recovery whilst working towards my degree was a BIG CHALLENGE. I had lost friends and I found myself completely alone, but I was 100% committed to turn my life around.

My accomplishments gave me strength and showed me what was possible for me.

After overcoming my eating disorder and re-building my self-confidence I became an Artist Model. My new sense of self gave me the confidence to model in a room full of students and artists.

One year into modelling I decided to change my path. I become a Children's book Author and a certified life Coach.

Today I am super EXCITED to share with you all that I have learnt and it’s a true honour to help you through the AMAZING and POWERFUL transformation that awaits you.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is my honest review.
