Our library does such an awesome summer reading program for the kids. I love it. The kids have to read fourteen books, but on top of that, they have all sorts of fun things... like shows and activities. We love it! So much fun! They have the Spoon Man, Magic Shows, plays, the ecology lab comes with animals, they have an egg drop where the kids build parachutes and see whose egg survives the fall...etc. So much fun!

This year, my son moved up into the teen program. He only has to read FIVE books!!!!

Y'all.... this is ridiculous!

My son finished before the end of June. So, I created their own summer reading challenge with rewards. We kinda went all in and they're getting a pretty exciting reward if they complete the entire thing. This is what I created for my kids... I have a rising 6th and 4th grader. I even made one for me. :D

I'm sure you've seen these -- it's like BINGO.

I can't wait for them to earn it!

Indie Author Day

Today was Indie Author Day. It is a national day to recognize independent authors. I haven't been involved much in the book world lately....
